Ancient Ayurvedic treatment of acid reflux

As per Ayurveda there are three doshas: Vatta, Pitta and Kapha. These Doshas control the welfare of the whole body. As one of the three doshas are not in sync with the other two doshas, causes a disease in the body.
According to Ayurveda, acid reflux is caused due to improper use of the sub – category Pitta dosha Pachakuti called.Pitta Pachakuti is located in the duodenum and intestine. Modern science also points to his stomach as a cause of reflux acid reflux. Acid occurs when the lower esophageal sphincter does not function properly. The lower esophageal sphincter is a one-way valve closed so hard in the stomach after eating. Therefore, it prevents the acid contents of slipping back into the esophagus. It also advises against the use of alcohol and tobacco, both of which are known to Pachakuti doshas worse.
